We specialize in authentic Japanese martial arts, offering structured education and training in Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do and Ryukyu Kobujutsu Kenshikai.
Shito-Ryu, one of the four major traditional styles of Karate practiced globally, emphasizes precision, balance, and deep-rooted technique, while Kobujutsu preserves the classical art of traditional Okinawan weaponry, including Bo, Sai, Tonfa, Kama, and Nunchaku.
Our organization is open for students of all age groups, Karate teachers, and athletes willing to learn, train, and develop themselves. The organisation is centrally organised and coordinated through Pune JKNSKI Headquarters and headed by internationally qualified and experienced instructors, assisted by a trained and authorised team of qualified instructors.
The Japan Karate-Do Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Kai India (Japan Karate-Do Shito-Ryu International Renshikan) regularly organises training with Japanese experts in India as well as in Japan. Students who wish to train at Japan HQ and experience the true culture of Japanese Karate-Do are welcome to join us. The JKNSK INDIA is headed by Naresh Sharma, who obtained Dan grades from Japan. He has also acquired special “Dan Examination Rights” which authorise him to conduct Japanese Dan tests in India.

Upcoming - 26th JKNSK India National Karate Coaching Camp 2026 at Pune Maharashtra !!!
The 26th JKNSK India National Karate Seminar was held in Pune, Maharashtra, with the participation of more than 200 students and karate instructors from all branches of JKNSK India. The camp was designed to support the overall development of both students and instructors. Several candidates were also able to upgrade their Dan grades through examinations, while participants learned and updated their knowledge of the latest karate techniques. The training was conducted by Shihan Naresh Sharma, 7th Dan Black Belt (Japan) and Head of JKNSK India.
Grand Success - 9th JKNSK India National Karate Championship 2025 at Pune Maharashtra !!!
JKNSK India successfully conducted its 9th Annual JKNSK India National Karate-Do Championship 2025 on 21st December 2025 at the Vithal Lawns, Hinjewadi, Pune Maharashtra India. More than 650 students from various states across India participated in the event, including Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Assam, and others. The participants showcased their technical excellence in both Kata and Kumite events. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all participants and everyone associated with the successful execution of the championship.
Naresh Sharma otained license of 'Shihan' in Japan during 38th All Japan Karatedo Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Taikai.
JKNSK India Head Instructor Naresh Sharma successfully obtained the title and license of “Shihan” after an examination conducted by Sōke Kuniaki Nobukawa at the JKNSK Honbu Dojo in Japan. Under his leadership, the JKNSK India team also participated in the 38th All Japan Karate-Do Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Championship, held on 26th October 2026 at the Akashi Central Gymnasium, Hyogo, Japan.

JKNSK India Karate Team student Sujit Chandgadkar delivered an excellent performance at the 38th All Japan Karate-Do Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Championship, held on 26th October 2025 at the Akashi Central Gymnasium, Japan. The event witnessed participation from more than 350 students and was conducted under the supervision of Dai Sensei Yoshiaki Nobukawa, President of Japan Karate-Do Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Kai.
Sujit Chandgadkar secured a silver medal in Kumite and a bronze medal in Kata. He also successfully passed his Shodan (1st Dan) examination, conducted by Shihan Takahiro Nobukawa and Sōke Kuniaki Nobukawa.

Sensei Shiju M. Habeeb of JKNSK India successfully represented India at the 24th International Karate Competition held in Malaysia, along with students Sayhan S. Habeeb and Rizwan.
Sayhan S. Habeeb secured a bronze medal, bringing pride to the country with his achievement. Congratulations to all the participants for their commendable performance.
JKNSK India Head Instructor - Naresh Sharma successfully passed his 7th Dan Examination at Japan
JKNSK India Head Instructor Naresh Sharma successfully passed his 7th Dan examination, conducted at the JKNSK Honbu Dojo in Japan by Kaicho Yoshiaki Nobukawa and Sōke Kuniaki Nobukawa. Alongside this achievement, Aadhya Yadav successfully passed her Shodan (1st Dan) grading examination, while Sujit Chandgadkar was awarded Shodan-Ho.
37th All Japan Karate-Do Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Championship 2024 grand success at Akashi, Japan
The JKNSK India Karate Team participated in the 37th All Japan Karate-Do Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Championship, held on 20th October 2024 at the Akashi Central Gymnasium, Japan. The event witnessed participation from more than 300 students and was conducted under the leadership of Dai Sensei Yoshiaki Nobukawa, President of Japan Karate-Do Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Kai, under the guidance and supervision of Sōke Kuniaki Nobukawa.
Indian students delivered an impressive performance. Aadhya Yadav secured the bronze medal in Kumite in the Under-12 category. Sujit Chandgadkar earned a silver medal in Kata and a bronze medal in Kumite.
8th JKNSK India National Karate-Do Championship 2024 - Grand Success !!

India Karate Team at JKNSK - World Karate Championship 2023 at Akashi Gymansium, Hyogo Japan
The JKNSK India Karate Team participated in the JKNSK World Karate Championship and Seminar, where various international branches of JKNSK showcased their talent and skills. The Indian team comprised the following players: Atikksh Goel, Anoushka Absan Kashyap, Chetan Dhawle, Gajanan Jediya, and Amrut Shinde. The team was guided by Coach Devendra Sharma and led by delegation head Naresh Sharma.
Dan Grade Examinations in Japan: The following candidates were successfully promoted:
- Sensei Devendra Sharma – Roku Dan (6th Dan), Sensei Gajanan Jediya – Go Dan (5th Dan), Senpai Chetan Dhawle – Ni Dan (2nd Dan).
2nd JKNSK International Karate Championship | Training Camp | Dan Grading Examination 2018 at Pune Maharashtra India - Grand Success !
The Japan Karate-Do Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Kai-India successfully organized its 2nd JKNSKI International Karate-Do Championship | Training Camp | Dan Grading Examination at Shiv Chattrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi, Pune Maharashtra India from 30th November to 2nd December 2018.
The championship was conducted under the presence of KUNIAKI NOBUKAWA 9th Dan JKNSK, J.K.F 8th Dan Hanshi & Souke of JKNSK International. The tournament was technically directed by YOSHIAKI NOBUKAWA Kyoshi 7th Dan JKNSK / J.KF., President of JKNSK International, qualified WKF A Grade Referee & Judge assisted by Indian National Director NARESH SHARMA, Kyoshi 7th Dan JKNSK (Japan), for the event. Approximately 700 contestants took part in the event from various states of India, including players from Srilanka, Nepal, India, Japan, England Around 120 Officials and Coaches participated in this mega event to make it a Grand Success.

The tournament was technically directed by Yoshiaki Nobukawa, Kyoshi (7th Dan JKNSK / JKF), President of JKNSK International and a WKF A Grade Referee and Judge. He was assisted by Indian National Director Naresh Sharma, Kyoshi (7th Dan JKNSK, Japan).
Naresh Sharma first person outside Japan to obtained the title of 'Kyoshi' awarded by Souke Kuniaki Nobukawa.
Naresh Sharma, Principal Instructor and National Director of JKNSK India, successfully passed the Kyoshi (Expert Master/Professor) examination at the JKNSK headquarters in Japan.
With this achievement, he becomes the first individual outside Japan within the organization to be awarded the prestigious title of Kyoshi. The examination was conducted by the head of JKNSK International, Sōke Kuniaki Nobukawa (9th Dan JKNSK Shito-Ryu / 8th Dan JKF Hanshi).
This accomplishment is a matter of great pride and honor for all Indian karatekas of JKNSK India, as Naresh Sharma becomes the first Kyoshi representing India in the organization.
6th JKNSK India National Karate Championship 2022
The 6th JKNSK India National Karate Championship was a grand success, with more than 750 participants from various states across India. The event was held on 15th January 2023 at Hinjewadi, Pune, Maharashtra.
The championship was inaugurated by Honorable Member of Parliament and Sansad Ratna, Supriya Sule, whose presence inspired and encouraged the karate athletes, officials, and parents.
The event’s success was made possible through the dedicated efforts of JKNSK India state heads, officials, players, volunteers, and the continued support of parents, all of whom contributed immensely to making the championship a memorable occasion.
5th JKNSK India National Karate Championship 2019
The 5th JKNSKI National Karate-Do Championship 2019, organized by Japan Karate-Do Nobukawa-ha Shito-Ryu Kai India, was successfully conducted in Pune, Maharashtra. The event was open to all members of our organization training across various branches throughout India.
More than 600 participants from various states Maharashtra, Kerala, Assam, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh—took part in the championship. The event was supported by over 100 officials, including referees, judges, and coaches. Karatekas competed in multiple categories and events, showcasing their skills while demonstrating true sportsmanship.
The championship was a grand success, made possible by the dedicated efforts of our representatives, coaches, officials, students, and the unwavering support of parents.
